This project included a full renovation, extension and modernisation to an old country house in Sunningdale. We were responsible for creating a new basement, swimming pool, gate house, car port, outdoor kitchen and garden pavilions.
Undertaking piling works to act as an earthwork system to the existing house including prop design and installation.
This was followed by deep excavation of 5 metres in total. Below slab drainage and cast in 2 part waterproof concrete system. Followed by liner walls and internal walls followed by ground floor suspended podium slab
Once this work where complete the adjacent swimming pool could be commenced and built in the same fashion to lesser depth.
Around site where a number of ancillary buildings for multiple uses. Conclusion of these consisted of piles, ground beams, substructure blockwork and block and beam.
This large basement project, on approx. 6000m3 plot of farmland in Brentwood, needed class Q planning permission. As well as the basement we were also responsible for various other outbuildings on the land. Works included Raft slabs, Excavation, RC walls, Disability ramp, Car port and Upstands.
This was a joint venture project with another civils contactor which we have now secured further work with due to our success on here.
We were responsible for a fast-paced external works contract at a 6-floor apartment block in Marylebone which had to be completed in 4 days to assist client reach practical completion. We required an emergency S278 from Westminster Council to enable us to work on the narrow, busy public road to bring in the incoming services. This took careful logistics and Health and Safety planning. We had to source and lay matching concrete paving and Camden white glazed bricks to bring the lightwell from the double story basement out of the ground. The finished works looked great on such a tight timescale and site.
